How Can Solar Street Lights Withstand A Category 12 Typhoon?

2022-05-20

Now because of the different environments in various parts of the earth, we use different street lights for different road lighting facilities programmes. Well, coastal areas are suitable for solar street lighting.

1. For light poles.

The height of the pole must be selected in strict accordance with the width of the road and its use, the wall thickness must be more than 3.5 mm, the internal and external hot-dip galvanised, the thickness of the galvanised layer is more than 35 μm, the thickness of the flange is more than 18 mm and the reinforcement bars must be welded between the flange and the pole to ensure the strength of the bottom of the pole. In the past, because the galvanisation of the pole was not up to standard and no reinforcement bars were welded, the bottom of the pole rusted badly and wind-blown poles were often broken. Therefore, the wall thickness of the pole, the thickness of the galvanisation and whether or not reinforcement bars are welded are important indicators of whether or not the pole is qualified, otherwise it cannot be used.

2. For street lamp

The street lamp is an important part of the street light, the quality of the luminaire and the way it is opened is very important, its material must be aluminium casting alloy, the thickness should meet the requirements , do not allow the lamp body to have cracks and holes, the connection of each part should have good contact points, the snap part is the most important, the previous luminaire is because the snap design is not reasonable, resulting in a large number of luminaire damage after each high wind, therefore, to use spring Therefore, spring clips should be used on the luminaire, preferably two, and the luminaire should be opened straight from the top, with the ballast and other important parts fixed to the body to prevent the parts from falling off when the lampshade is damaged.

3. For street light foundations.

Street light foundation as a hidden project of street light project, it is also a very important part for the overall windproof and safe use of street light. Firstly, C20 concrete should be selected for pouring, and the choice of foundation bolts should be based on the height of the pole.

The lower part of the foundation should be larger than the upper part, which is conducive to the stability of the foundation and enhances the wind resistance.
